San Antonio, TX

Made it to San Antonio today, I-10 all the way, just another uneventful day on the road. Great driving weather except for a few raindrops as we left Lake Charles, and a few more in Houston, just enough to dirty the windshield. We had to run the AC this afternoon for a couple of hours, first time I've used one since November. Tonight is very pleasant, supposed to be around 60 tonight. The park is very nice, all amenities and quite reasonable at $34/night. Tomorrow we go to Big Bend National Park - we'll probably be without phone or WiFi, so if you need us good luck in finding us til Monday afternoon in El Paso.

Lake Charles, LA

We're in Lake Charles tonight after a great but uneventful day on I-10, Only 4 more days to Mesa. Twelve Oaks RV Park Is not pretty but it's just a mille off I-10 and it has clean restrooms/showers, although just 1 stall. On the way over we passed the USS Alabama park in Mobile, didn't stop but got a good view from the interstate. I just checked the weather for Big Bend National Park on Sunday - how does 100 degrees sound?

Pensacola

Made it to Pensacola, no problem. Approximately 8 hours with 2 pit stops. Pensacola RV Park is within a mile of I-10 (easy on & off). It's kind of a barren park, but very convenient ($34/night). No swimming pool but cable, WiFi, rest rooms & showers. We've scheduled our trip for about 400 miles per day - about 8 hours per day. At this rate we have 5 more days to Mesa, AZ to pick up our new home. Jill took the trip in stride, she slept under the table the whole way. She don't enjoy the travel but at least she's surviving it better. There's another Lazy Daze (NE51) parked just a couple of spaces away, barely shown in the picture.

Lazy Daze Spring Fling, Atlanta

We drove to Atlanta last Wednesday, 3/13, for Southeast Lazy Daze Spring Fling. We've met a lot of nice people and enjoyed the companionship of 9 other loving LD owners. Pat's sore knee has kept us close to camp but we've enjoyed the beautiful Stone Mountain park. We're backed up on baautiful Stone Mountain lake and enjoyed watching the squirrels roam, our little canine companion, Jill, has especially enjoyed the squirrels. The get-to-gether wraps up tomorrow but we're staying an extra day. We'll head home on Tuesday, 3/19.
